The Journal of Indonesian and Malay World Studies (JIMWS) invites qualified scholars and researchers from around the world to join our international editorial team as Editors and Peer Reviewers.
JIMWS is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research in cultural studies related to the Indonesian and Malay worlds. The journal promotes interdisciplinary scholarship on cultural heritage, indigenous knowledge, religious life, and community traditions, with particular emphasis on understanding cultural continuities and transformations across Indonesian and Malay societies within regional and global contexts.
We welcome applications from academics and researchers with expertise in areas including, but not limited to:
- Political Identity, Ethnicity, and Community Life
- Cultural Heritage, Manuscripts, and Local Languages
- Religion, Rituals, and Indigenous Knowledge
- Lived Traditions, Social Transformation, and Cultural Resilience
