The Journal of Indonesian and Malay World Studies invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit their best manuscripts for Vol. 1, No. 2, 2026.

The journal publishes original, high-quality research in cultural studies related to the Indonesian and Malay worlds, with a particular focus on cultural heritage, indigenous knowledge, religious life, community traditions, and the historical and contemporary transformations of Indonesian and Malay societies. Interdisciplinary and comparative approaches are especially encouraged to advance scholarly understanding of the Indonesian and Malay worlds within regional and global contexts.

The journal welcomes both library-based and empirical research that offers original theoretical, empirical, or methodological contributions to Indonesian and Malay World Studies. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Culture, Identity, and Community Life; Cultural Heritage, Manuscripts, and Historical Memory; Religion, Rituals, and Indigenous Knowledge; and Traditions, Social Transformation, and Cultural Resilience.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scholarly quality, originality, and academic relevance.
