    The Journal of Indonesian and Malay World Studies invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit their best manuscripts for Vol. 1, No. 1, 2026. The journal publishes original, high-quality research that explores diverse dimensions of the Indonesian and Malay worlds through interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives.

    Submissions are encouraged to address historical, cultural, social, religious, legal, educational, linguistic, and contemporary issues related to Indonesia and the broader Malay world within local, regional, and global contexts. The journal welcomes both library-based and empirical research that contributes meaningful theoretical, methodological, or empirical insights and advances scholarly understanding of the Indonesian and Malay worlds.

    Topics may include, but are not limited to: history, culture, and identity; religion, arts, and cultural heritage; social change, law, and community studies; politics, governance, and public policy; media, education, and knowledge production; as well as language, linguistics, and literature related to Indonesia and the Malay world.

    All manuscripts submitted to the journal will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scholarly quality, originality, and academic relevance.
