Journal of Indonesian and Malay World Studies
Editorial TeamThe Journal of Indonesian and Malay World Studies (JIMWS) is an international, double-blind, peer-reviewed academic journal published and managed by Elkuator Research and Publication. It is produced in academic collaboration with IAIN Pontianak, which supports its scholarly activities but does not hold ownership or publishing rights. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing high-quality scholarship on the cultures of the Indonesian and Malay worlds. JIMWS publishes original research that offers significant theoretical, empirical, or methodological contributions to Indonesian and Malay world studies, with particular emphasis on cultural heritage, indigenous knowledge, religious life, community traditions, and the historical and contemporary transformations of Indonesian and Malay societies within regional and global contexts. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars and researchers worldwide, particularly those undertaking interdisciplinary and comparative studies that make original theoretical, empirical, or methodological contributions to Indonesian and Malay world studies.
