Founded as a platform for scholarly exchange, the journal addresses key areas of research in philology, codicology, textual transmission, conservation, and digital humanities. Manuscripta Islamica welcomes original research on the historical, material, intellectual, and cultural dimensions of Islamic manuscripts, including textual studies, cataloguing, preservation practices, digitization, and investigations of manuscript production and circulation.
