The Journal of Islam, Media and Society (JIMS) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed academic journal published and managed by Elkuator Research and Publication. The journal is produced in academic collaboration with IAIN Pontianak, which supports its scholarly activities but does not hold ownership or publishing rights. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing high-quality and interdisciplinary research on the intersection of Islam, media, and contemporary society. The journal provides a platform for scholars and practitioners to present original articles based on library research and/or empirical studies that offer significant theoretical, methodological, or empirical contributions to the study of Islam, media, and social dynamics. JIMS critically examines how Islam is represented, mediated, and negotiated across various media platforms, as well as how media technologies shape religious practices, identities, authority, and public discourses within Muslim societies. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s aims and scope will not be considered for peer review.
