Basmala: Journal of Qur’an and Hadith

Basmala: Journal of Qur’an and Hadith is a rigorously peer-reviewed academic journal specializing in Qur’an and Hadith studies. Established in 2025 by Elkuator Research and Publication in Pontianak, West Borneo, Indonesia, the journal publishes articles in both English and Indonesian, covering historical and contemporary interpretations of the Qurʾan and Ḥadith. Embracing diversity, the editors welcome contributions from all academic traditions and perspectives—whether Muslim or non-Muslim, from the Islamic world or the West, classical or contemporary.

Indonesian Journal of Sharia and Socio-Legal Studies

The Indonesian Journal of Sharia and Socio-Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing original, high-quality research on the dynamic relationship between Islamic law and society in Indonesia and other Muslim-majority countries. The journal promotes socio-legal and interdisciplinary scholarship that critically examines how Islamic law is interpreted, practiced, institutionalized, and negotiated within diverse social, cultural, political, and legal contexts. It welcomes contributions from scholars and practitioners employing socio-legal, empirical, and interdisciplinary approaches, with particular attention to living fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and everyday legal practices; Islamic law and legal pluralism; Islamic institutions, governance, and authority; gender, family, and legal inequality; legal consciousness and dispute resolution; as well as contemporary challenges and technologies shaping legal practices in Muslim societies.

Journal of Religion and Decoloniality (JRD) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal exploring the intersections of religion, spirituality, and decolonial thought. It provides a critical platform for scholars, practitioners, and activists who engage with religious epistemologies, traditions, and institutions through decolonial lenses.
Cover contains the word ᨄᨘᨕ (Puang), a Buginese term for "God" in the indigenous literature, and ornamented with the local design of Batik Lontara. The cover image of a peacock is based on the sketch in the diary of the Maqdanrang of Bone, 1790-1800, British Library, Or. 8154, f. 7v, which symbolizes a local-creative rendering of divine aesthetics.
