Elkuator Research and Publication

Basmala: Journal of Qur’an and Hadith is a rigorously peer-reviewed academic journal specializing in Qur’an and Hadith studies. Established in 2025 by Elkuator Research and Publication in Pontianak, West Borneo, Indonesia, the journal publishes articles in both English and Indonesian, covering historical and contemporary interpretations of the Qurʾan and Ḥadith. Embracing diversity, the editors welcome contributions from all academic traditions and perspectives—whether Muslim or non-Muslim, from the Islamic world or the West, classical or contemporary.

The Indonesian Journal of Sharia and Socio-Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing original, high-quality research on the dynamic relationship between Islamic law and society in Indonesia and other Muslim-majority countries. The journal promotes socio-legal and interdisciplinary scholarship that critically examines how Islamic law is interpreted, practiced, institutionalized, and negotiated within diverse social, cultural, political, and legal contexts. Journal of Religion and Decoloniality (JRD) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal exploring the intersections of religion, spirituality, and decolonial thought. It provides a critical platform for scholars, practitioners, and activists who engage with religious epistemologies, traditions, and institutions through decolonial lenses. Cover contains the word ᨄᨘᨕ (Puang), a Buginese term for "God" in the indigenous literature, and ornamented with the local design of Batik Lontara. The cover image of a peacock is based on the sketch in the diary of the Maqdanrang of Bone, 1790-1800, British Library, Or. 8154, f. 7v, which symbolizes a local-creative rendering of divine aesthetics.

Interdisciplinary Journal of Islamic Education (IJIE) is published twice a year by Elkuator Research and Publication and is dedicated to the scholarly study of Islamic Education. IJIE combines research and articles based on the latest studies from contributors who are experts in their fields. The journal addresses the growing needs of intellectuals in responding to contemporary issues and challenges in Islamic Education. Regular issues are published in June and December, with special issues available under specific conditions. The journal aims to publish research-based articles that contribute to the academic discourse in Islamic Education.

Economica and Muslim Societies Review (ECOMUS) is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed academic journal under the auspices of Elkuator Research and Publication. ECOMUS is dedicated to publishing original research on how economic practices in Muslim societies, both in their general forms and as articulated within Islamic economic frameworks, shape development patterns and the economic life of contemporary Muslim societies.
