The Journal of Quranic Media Studies is a double-blind, peer-reviewed academic journal published and managed by Elkuator Research and Publication. The journal is produced in academic collaboration with IAIN Pontianak, which supports its scholarly activities but does not hold ownership or publishing rights. The journal was first published in June 2026 and serves as a scholarly platform for advancing high-quality research on the dynamic relationship between the Qur’an and media in contemporary global contexts.

The journal publishes original research articles based on library research and empirical studies that make significant theoretical, methodological, or empirical contributions to the fields of Qur’anic studies, media, communication, and related interdisciplinary disciplines. It particularly emphasizes innovative and critical approaches to examining how media technologies influence the interpretation, circulation, reception, representation, and authority of the Qur’anic text across diverse digital and social environments. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to: Qur’anic Studies in Digital Contexts; Media, Communication, and the Qur’an; Digital Qur’an and Online Religious Authority; and Representation and Mediation of Qur’anic Texts. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars worldwide and promotes interdisciplinary dialogue that enhances the understanding of the interaction between the Qur’an, media technologies, and contemporary society. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must fall within these areas of focus and demonstrate clear scholarly contributions to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
