PLAGIARISM POLICY
Authors are expected to properly acknowledge the words, figures, and ideas of others through accurate and appropriate citation. All sources must be referenced precisely at the point of use. Any reused wording should be kept to a minimum and must be either clearly quoted or properly attributed.
Journal of Religion and Decoloniality (JRD) utilizes turnitin to detect textual overlap with previously published or submitted manuscripts. Editors may refer to our Similarity Check page for detailed guidance on how to interpret these reports.
Manuscripts will only proceed to the peer-review stage once they have undergone plagiarism screening and are confirmed to contain no more than 20% similarity. The editorial team performs this check using plagiarism detection software prior to initiating the review process. Any manuscript found to exceed the 20% similarity threshold will be returned to the author for revision. The journal maintains a strict policy against the publication of plagiarized content.
