  • Articles must be written using Lora font, size 11, 1.15 spacing, on A4 paper with 3 cm margins.
  • Manuscripts must follow the official HSCS article template.
Article length/word count

Articles should be approximately 6,000–12,000 words, including abstract, references, tables, and bibliography.

Article title

The title should be concise, clear, and reflect the core argument of the article.

Author details

The names of all contributing authors should be added to the OJS (Open Journal Systems) submission. Please list them in the order in which you would like them to be published. Each contributing author must have their own OJS author account, from which the following details will be taken:

  • Author email address (institutional email is preferred).
  • Author name. The name will be reproduced exactly as entered, so any middle names and initials that should appear in the publication must be included.
  • Author affiliation. This should reflect the institution where the author was based when the research was conducted.

In multi-authored papers, all authors who have made a significant contribution to the paper must be listed. Contributors who provided support but did not contribute directly to the research should be mentioned in the acknowledgments section. Authors must not include individuals who did not contribute to the paper or who do not wish to be associated with the research.

Research funding

The funding agency should be written in full and include the grant number, where applicable. If there is one funding agency, use the following format: This research was supported by the Organization Name [grant number xxxxxx].

If there are multiple funding agencies or grant numbers, use the following format: This research was supported by the Organization Name [grant number xxxxxx]; the Organization Name [grant number xxxxxx]; and the Organization Name [grant number xxxxxx].

If there is no funding information, authors should state: This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors. If an organization provided non-monetary support, such as facilities, data, or survey access, this support should also be acknowledged.

Abstract

All submissions must include an abstract in English and Indonesian, consisting of 150–250 words. The abstract should summarize the research purpose, methodology, main findings, and scholarly contribution.

Keywords

Authors should provide keywords in English that represent the main topics of the article.

Headings

Headings must be clear and systematic, following the structure outlined in the official HSCS article template.

Figures

Figures must be included in the manuscript in JPG or PNG format, numbered sequentially, and accompanied by captions.

Tables

Tables must be numbered sequentially, with titles placed above each table. Tables should be centered, single-spaced, and use bold headings.

References

References must appear in footnotes and bibliography, following the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition (Notes and Bibliography), and arranged alphabetically.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the HSCS online submission system. Submissions outside the system will not be considered.
