Aims and Scope

Aim

The Elkuator Journal of Islamic Studies (EJIS) aims to promote high-quality scholarly research and critical inquiry in the field of Islamic Studies. It provides an academic platform for interdisciplinary dialogue exploring Islamic thought, tradition, and practice in both classical and contemporary contexts.

Scope

EJIS publishes original research and critical studies in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Qur’anic and Hadith Studies.
  • Islamic theology, philosophy, and intellectual history.
  • Islamic law (fiqh) and legal thought.
  • History and civilization of the Muslim world.
  • Islamic education and pedagogy.
  • Social, cultural, political, and economic studies of Muslim societies.
  • Contemporary issues and challenges in Islam.
  • Interdisciplinary approaches to Islamic Studies.

The journal welcomes diverse methodologies, including textual analysis, historical research, qualitative/quantitative approaches, and comparative studies.
