Basmala Journal of Qur’an and Ḥadīth Studies (BJQH)
Volume 1, Number 2 (December 2025)

The Editorial Board of the Basmala Journal of Qur’an and Ḥadīth Studies (BJQH) cordially invites scholars, researchers, lecturers, and students to submit their original research articles for publication in Volume 1, Number 2 (to be published in December 2025).

BJQH is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse in the fields of Qur’anic and Ḥadīth studies, both classical and contemporary. We welcome high-quality manuscripts that demonstrate originality, critical analysis, and significant contribution to the discipline.

Scope and Themes

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Classical and contemporary Qur’anic exegesis (tafsīr)

  • Methodologies in Qur’anic and Ḥadīth interpretation

  • Transmission, authenticity, and historiography of Ḥadīth

  • Linguistic and rhetorical aspects of the Qur’an

  • Comparative perspectives on Qur’anic and Ḥadīth studies

  • Application of Qur’anic and Prophetic teachings in contemporary contexts (education, law, gender, social studies, etc.)

  • Interdisciplinary approaches to Qur’anic and Ḥadīth studies

Submission Guidelines

  • Language: Manuscripts may be written in English, Arabic, or Bahasa Indonesia.

  • Length: 5.000–10.000 words, including abstract and references.

  • Abstract: 150–250 words in two languages (English–Indonesian), accompanied by 3–5 keywords.

  • Template: Authors must follow the official BJQH template (available on the journal website).

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

Peer Review Policy

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by experts in the field. Accepted papers will be published online with open access, free of charge to readers.
