Aims and Scope

Aim

The Journal of Pesantren and Islamic Educational Culture aims to advance interdisciplinary scholarship on pesantren and Islamic educational cultures in Muslim-majority societies. The journal publishes theoretically informed and empirically grounded studies that examine Islamic educational traditions, cultural practices, institutional dynamics, and social transformations within diverse Muslim contexts.

The journal seeks to contribute to contemporary debates on Islamic education, culture, and society by highlighting the continuity and transformation of Islamic educational traditions in Muslim-majority countries.
