Journal of Muslim Majority Affairs (JMMA) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published and managed by Elkuator Research and Publication in academic collaboration with IAIN Pontianak. These partner institutions support the journal's scholarly activities but do not hold ownership or publishing rights. JMMA is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship on contemporary affairs, institutions, and social transformations in Muslim-majority societies, particularly across the Global South. The journal publishes original, high-quality research that critically examines the governance, legal, economic, socio-cultural, religious, and technological dimensions shaping public life in diverse historical and contemporary contexts. It welcomes theoretical, empirical, comparative, and policy-oriented studies employing interdisciplinary approaches and is committed to fostering critical dialogue on the opportunities and challenges facing Muslim-majority societies. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.
Current Issue
This issue has been available online since April 10, 2026, as the regular issue for April 2026. It features five original research articles authored or co-authored by nine authors from four countries: Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Nigeria.
